The photos below were taken in Donghae. This was the first time the photographer was in South Korea. On that day he disembarked the ship with his grandfather and a family friend and strolled around on the streets and took photos. Then, as they waited in front of a crosswalk a strange voice appeared from the traffic light. The voice was similar to that of an elevator when the door is about to close.

"Look!" the friend said. "If I step across this line on the ground..."

The voice repeated over and over. Eventually a Korean man put his hand on the friend's chest and pushed lightly for him to stop. Mind that this was in 2019 when the relationship between Korea and Japan was deteriorating (Japan–South Korea trade dispute).

"Alright, alright. I'm sorry!" he apologized.
