It has become summer once again. This year it has been said that you can see the northern lights all the way to Scania. "If you can take a picture with a camera the sky will glow up in colors" was added, however, in an attempt to capture this nothing but the night sky came out. By the way, have you ever seen the flowers of grass? These flowers are tiny and hanging from the grass. Also, they lack colors which makes them hard to spot. However, they do certainly exist. Below are a few photos taken across the summer.

Then, let's take a look at photos from the small trips and walks of this summer. (These photos were to few too make it into separate albums.) Firstly, there are a few more pictures from May taken in Rinnebäck Ravine. The walk follows the creek. As can be seen on the photos the white oxeye daisies (Leucanthemum vulgare), yellow dandelions (Taraxacum), the flowers of apple trees (Malus domestica) among others stood in bloom.

Next are photos taken in Lund botanic garden. This botanical garden has already appeared a few times on the website, therefore it likely needs no introduction. During this session a garden spider (Araneus diadematus) was spotted in the small bamboo grove. The garden spider has a cross on its back and therefore they are called "cross spider" (korsspindel) in Swedish. However interesting, the more interesting thing found during this short session must have been the woolly aphid. These insects, unknown to people who do not take a closer look, look like small cotton balls that have been caught in the wind and seem to sometimes be referred to as "fairy bugs" by children.

The next trip goes to Klåveröd which is situated right west of Söderåsen national park. There is a lake here and during summer it's possible to both camp and swim in the lake. Furthermore, North there is a raised bog to which you can take a stroll. This place is a recommendation for people who like nature.

Next up are macro photos from a vacant plot in west Lund. This now tiny meadow is hidden behind a student dormitory. On this plot wild oregano grow on the ground and cherries hang from the trees. There are a few benches here, but besides insects and some cats, people seem to rarely go here.

Lastly, a few photos were taken around the bay called Salviken. Here we find a quiet forest. This is an ordinary Scanian forest and along the trees we find oak(Quercus robur), rowan (Sorbus aucuparia) and other species, and on the ground we find different types of ants. The bay is just outside the forest and in front of that is a meadow and rye fields; and on the beach is a bunker left from the cold war era. From here Barsebäck Nuclear Power Plant is also visible. In the water of the bay a gaggle of greylag geese (Anser anser) had gathered and as the photographers approached a few of them took to the sky and created the image of a stereotypical Scanian landscape.
