It's the start of October. Once again it's a good time to go to Lund Botanical Garden. Inside of the greenhouse most looks as normal. The cacti still stand strong and quails stroll around in the room with a pond (Victoria House).
However, outside the atmosphere is different. Some of the leaves have gained a brown color, the flower petals have started to shed and butterflies try to drink the last of the nectar before autumn. Those are the signs of the change of season, from summer to autumn.
In the botanical garden the animals are also preparing for autumn. A flock of siskins linger high in bushes and a squirrel prepares by collecting nuts. On this day rooks and blackbirds can also be spotted in the garden.
Lastly, on the way out of the garden, past the sleeping ducks, there were already mushrooms growing. Signs that autumn is on its way.
